Family Dynamics Counseling, Inc. provides mediation services. Jill A Johnson MS LMFT and Renee Schroeder MS LPC NCC are trained in mediation. Mediation provides parties with the dispute the tools to structure an agreement in their best interests. It minimizes the effects of the adversarial process and is less time consuming and less expensive than a court trial. Mediation empowers parties by allowing them to make their own decisions. It is a process where a third neutral party assists the parties in reaching a mutually acceptable agreement. It does not take the place of the services of attorneys and the courts. It does, however, help facilitate the benefits of the process for the parties involved. It is facilitated negotiation. Our mediation training is from a Master Mediator, attorney and member of the faculty of BYU. We can help facilitate parties in generating options for a settlement and mutual gain is the goal. Mediation works best for parties with some history of cooperation or who have an ongoing relationship. It helps when the parties’ desire for settlement of the dispute is high and they will accept the intervention of a third objective party. Mediation also helps benefit parties when there is some external pressure to settle the dispute. Family Dynamics Counseling, Inc. clinicians offer solutions for a variety of conflicts that persons experience in their everyday lives such as family conflict, parent-teen conflict and couples conflict. Our clinicians also offer assistance with unexpected events that occur and may lead to trauma and interpersonal conflicts. Family Dynamics Counseling, Inc. clinicians have worked with trauma, grief, and crisis intervention. Two of our clinicians are also trained in Critical Incident Stress Management. Our approach is to provide solutions and empower persons to help them manage the conflicts in their lives.
